| Mahant Manjit Singh extends support of PDP | |
Jammu, December 18, (Scoop News)- BJP Convinced with the programmes and policies of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mahant Manjit Singh Jee of Dera Nangali Sahib has announced support of PDP candidates in the on-going assembly elections. This was announced by senior PDP leader Sardar Rangil Singh and party candidate for Gandhi Nagar assembly segment Amrik Singh Reen.
While addressing a public meeting at Dushera Ground this evening, Sardar Rangil Singh said that during a meeting with PDP leadership, Mahanjee had announced support for party candidates. He said that the religious leader has expressed his satisfaction over incorporating all the demands of Sikh community in election manifesto of PDP.
Sardar Rangil Singh announced that some days back a meeting of Mahantjee and PDP leadership was held where the religious leader had put forward some issues of the community before the leadership. The party has incorporated all these demands in its manifesto, he said.
PDP candidate Sardar Amreek Singh Reen has also made same announcement in the same public meeting.
Meanwhile PDP received a shot in the arm when former Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Choudhary Manmohan Singh joined PDP in the presence of party leadership.
While speaking on the occasion, former Mayor said that he was impressed with the programme and policies of the party.
