| GGF Peace Summit held at Washington | | Jammu, October 20, (Scoop News)- Gandhi Global Family organised Peace Summit at Fraser Mansion, Washington-DC USA. Today on the eve of 85th birth anniversary of late Founder of GGF PadmaVibushan Dr.Nirmala Deshpande.While paying floral tribute to Didi Nirmala Deshpande, Padmashri S P Varma Vice President GGF threw light on her work & life, remembering her for her contribution towards Peace World Wide & especially to strengthening of People to People contact among SAARC Countries. He appealed to the gathering from various parts of the World to come forward and work for Peace building process by following the footsteps of Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr which is certainly achievable. He also emphasised on the role of Youth in bringing World Peace.
On this occation six US individuals and organisations, who are working for Peace, were awarded Mahamata Gandhi Seva Madal, this includes Mr Samuel P. Mall and Miss Rima Mall of "Founder Reach Out International" US, Mrs Prasad Thotakura Founder chairmen "Gandhi Foundation",Texas,US, Mrs RizwanJaka Chairman of "Board ADAMS Center",Virginia US, Mrs Vinodh Prakash Founder "India Development and Relief Fund", USA. and Miss DR Sasala Challa,Founder "Challa Foundation" USA. Earlier the event started with Interfaith Prayer by the respected delegates and gathering. The Executive Director Chruch of Scientology said since peace is dear to everyone in US, we are happy that our organization Head Quarter was chosen as avenue of "PEACE SUMMIT" .Prabhudas Gandamall co ordinator Youth GGF AP shared his thoughts, "We should have brotherly love among fellow human beings then only we can achieve Peace. Mahatma Gandhi ideology is accepted by world's top leaders, this clearly indicates the acceptance of Mahatma Gandhi as "Father of Global Peace". At the end, Vote of Thanks was extended by Mrs ReginaKaur Gahunia, PR Nirankri Mission Washington DC.
