Injured cop succumbs in Srinagar
Wreath lying ceremony held in DPL

Srinagar, October 20, (Scoop News)- A Policeman who was injured in a stone pelting incident in Srinagar July this year succumbed to his injuries in a hospital here. A wreath laying ceremony was organized for the martyr in DPL Srinagar, today.
Constable Waseem Ahmad Bhat was injured in a stone pelting incident at Duck Park, Fore Shore Road Nigeen Hazratbal on 29-07-2014 when a police party was pelted upon at the place after receiving a report of anti social activity going on at the said spot. He succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Soura Srinagar, today.
A Wreath laying ceremony was held at DPL Srinagar. A Guard of Honour was presented and floral wreaths were laid at the body of the martyred cop.
Among others Divisional Commissioner Sh. Rohit Kansal, Inspector General of Police Kashmir, Sh. A G Mir, DIG CKR Sh. S A Mujtaba, DIG Armed Sh. Mustaq Sadiq, SSP Srinagar Sh. Amit Kumar, SSP PCR Sh. Imtiyaz Hussain, other police officers, Jawans and relatives of the martyr were present on the occasion.
The martyr Waseem Ahmad is survived by his parents and three siblings including an unmarried sister.
