Road named after 19TH Bakula Rinpoche inaugurated | Jora, Bhalla pay rich tributes recall his contributions | Jammu,October 20, (Scoop News)-Minister for Urban Development and Urban Local Bodies Nawang Rigzin Jora and Minister for Housing, Horticulture, Culture, Youth Services and Sports Raman Bhalla today inaugurated the entrance road from railway station which has been named after the 19TH Bakula Rinpoche Later while addressing a large gathering of students and general public at the Ladakhi sarai Mr Jora said that the 19th Kushok Bakula Rinpoche the reincarnation of the Kushok Bakula Rinpoche was one of the best known lamas of Ladakh and is known as the architect of modern Ladakh. Paying rich tributes and recalling his contributions Jora said that Bakula Rinpoche was a statesman and international diplomat. He is known for his efforts in reviving Buddhism in Mongolia and Russia. Later he served in the Parliament of India, and was deeply engaged with welfare, education and rights of Scheduled Castes and Tribes of India. In his later years, he became India's Ambassador in Mongolia. He said that naming of road after him is a way to pay tribute to the eminent leader Speaking on the occasion the minister of Housing also highlighted the contributions of Rinpoche and said that He was a rare combination of scholar, monk and politician .His support, passion and determination played an important role in the field of education and promoting the ancient Himalayan cultural heritage.He said that the state is known for its composite culture and naming of the road after Rinpoche in Jammu exhibits the bonds of harmony between the three regions and gives a sense of unity .
