Gen Hooda, GoC in C Northern Command, felicitates Corps of Military Police
on its 74th Raising Day

Udhampur, October 18, (Scoop News)_The Corps of Military Police (CMP) of the Indian Army which is responsible for assisting in maintenance
of good order and military discipline and control of movement of men, material and vehicles, celebrated its ‘74th Raising Day’ on Saturday, a defence spokesman said.

The Corps of Military Police was raised on October 18, 1940 at Bombay now Mumbai. Since then, it has carved a niche for itself in the Indian Army with its sterling performance and dedicated professionalism in pursuit of excellence.

To commemorate the momentous occasion at Udhampur Military Station, the personnel of the Corps organised a special ‘Sainik Sammelan’ as a forum to
rededicate themselves to render yeomen service to Indian Army and the nation.

On the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee celebration , Lt Gen D S Hooda, GOC-in-C Northern Command, complimented all ranks of the Corps of Military Police and their families and exhorted them to continue to excel in all their future endeavours.
