Akhand Jyoti reaches Mata Pingla Devi Bhawan
Over 45,000 devotees pay obeisance
Jammu,September 30, (Scoop News)-Over 45, 000 devotees have, so far, had darshan of revered Mata Pingla Devi during the annual Mata Pingla Devi yatra, which started on 1st Navratra.
Being started in 1987 by Late O. P. Jandial, this is the 28th Yatra organized by Akhand Jyoti Committee.
The Committee took the holy ‘Jyot’ from Ramnagar to Mata Pingla Devi Bhawan on 1st Navratra in which thousands of devotees participated who were welcomed by large number of people enroute the Bhawan.
Organizer of the yatra, Vinay Jandial, informed that Akhand Jyoti Awards will be presented to meritorious students and others for their excellence in various fields on the eve of last navratra. Besides, O. P. Jandial Sadvana Puraskar will also be given to Social Organization on the occasion.
The Akhand Jyoti Committee has also organized langar for the devotees.
Meanwhile, Navratra festival is also being held at Pingla Devi Chabutra Ramnangar in which various local artists are performing with great enthusiasm.
The Pingla Devi yatra starts from Ramnagar from where the devotees move in vehicles towards the base camp, Kough, about 15 km away from the town. From Kough onwards, they have to cover a distance of around 6 km on foot to reach the Bhawan.
