| JPPF distributed relief material to flood victims | |
Jammu,September 29, (Scoop News)- Jammu Province People Forum an amalgam of more than 50 Social, Commercial and other organization a united voice of Dogras of Jammu Province distributed relief material amongst the flood victims of villages Sumb, Saunjana & Nai Basti, of Marh Block. Mr. M.S.Katcoh the working President of JPPF said that these areas of Marh Block are not touched by most of NGO’s / Relief distribution Agencies and the people of these areas are badly in need of help.
Further Mr. Katoch also added that even the losses due to natural fury has also not been assessed so far. The JPPF request Govt. to formulate the strategy to compensate the losses of Jammu Province at par with Kashmir because, it is noticed that so far no concrete assessment of Jammu Province has taken place and therefore we apprehend that the flood victims of Jammu Province will be deprived of benefits.
Further JPPF had convened a meeting with the members who accompanied for relief distribution Th. Narayan Singh, Sh. M.L Sharma, Prof. Bhardhwaj, Mr. Amrit Magotra and Mr. Avinash Bhatia along with the senior members of different villages to prepare the details of losses incurred by the people of different villages, which JPPF will take up with State as well as Central Govt. for getting proper relief to the public.
Finally JPPF also decided to have a relief camp in the next week in Marh Block for distribution of Medicines and other relief materials to needy people.
