| Hurriyat conference( JK) constitutes four member team | | to hold consultations with other factions for unity |
Srinagar, September 2,(Scoop News)-Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir consultative committee on Tuesday held a meeting wherein the present political situation and develeopments with regard to unity with Hurriyat Conference led by Syed Ali Shah
Geelani, were thoroughly discussed, the spokesperson of HCJK in a statement issued said.
The meeting, which was attended by Shabir Ahmad Shah and others.
The meeting deliberated on some suggestions laid by Syed Ali Shah Geelani and a 3-member committee formulated by Hurriyat Conference(G).
In this connection, HCJK formulated a 4-member committee which would hold consultation with committee formulated by Hurriyat(G), as “HCJK not only considers the unity a need of the hour but had also made some initiatives in this regard in the past,” the spokesperson said.
The 4-member committee formulated by HCJK includes Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Shabir Ahmad Dar, Farooq Ahmad Dar and Muhammad Iqbal Mir.
“HCJK feels there is a need for strengthening the ongoing movement against the increasing state repression across the length and breadth of the state,” the spokesperson said.
During the meeting, the leaders also took serious note against filing of case against senior HCJK leader Shabir Ahmad Shah by Allahabad chief judicial magistrate on September 5.
The amalgam has urged UN and other international institutions to take serious note of India’s such “undemocratic” act.
