| Militant hideout busted by security forces in Kishtwar district | | Jammu, September 02, (Scoop News)- In a successful anti terrorist operation by security forces, a militant hideout was busted in the upper reaches of Navpachchi in Kishtwar District, which led to a recovery of arms and ammunition.
Based on the information about presence of hideout, Rashtriya Rifles battalion at Bhandarkut and Kishtwar Police launched a joint search operation in general area Navpachchi and recovered a cache of war like stores, today. The cache comprised of one Sniper Rifle, bolt action with magazine, one telescopic sight, 17 rounds of assorted ammunition, two Chinese grenades and two Radio Sets, which were recovered from a well concealed hideout in forest.
The cache was sited away from population centre and was likely to have been made some time back. The recovery of arms was possible only due to sharing of intelligence and launching of well coordinated and synergized joint operation despite cache being located in harsh terrain.
The recovered arms, ammunition and Radio Sets were handed over to the police station Navpachchi where an FIR has been lodged for the same. The recovery is yet another major success for security forces and has definitely dealt a blow to the militant groups.
