Er Rashid criticizes New Delhi for its arrogant and unrealistic attitude over Kashmir issue | | \ Srinagar, September 02, (Scoop News)- MLA Langate and president AIP Er Rashid has criticised New Delhi for its arrogant and unrealistic attitude over Kashmir issue and said that the divided house of Kashmiris can achieve nothing unless they don’t put up a joint effort to plead their case before New Delhi and other appropriate platforms. He was addressing a public gathering at Supernaghama after laying foundation stone of 6.3 MVA receiving station at Saffalipora Langate which is to come up at an estimated cost of Rs. 4.00 crore and is expected to be completed within a time period of two years. Speaking on the occasion Er Rashid said. “Though nobody can deny the need and importance of developmental requirements and projects but they by no means are a substitute to the political aspirations and the sentiments of people of Jammu and Kashmir. For sustainable and durable development Kashmir issue needs to be resolved which can give India also rid of huge burdens which it has to invest on defence and other related expenses.
Facts have revealed that it hardly makes a difference whosoever rules India when it comes to addressing resolution of Kashmir dispute. Indian political stalwarts seem to have decided once for all, not to give any political space to Kashmiris nor to offer them even minor concessions. Let Kashmiri leadership read writing on the wall and show a united face to end India’s arrogance and unrealistic stand on Kashmir. On one hand the communal forces which are now at the helm of affairs in New Delhi are openly showing their designs to make India a Hindu state but on the other hand Indian state is leaving no stone unturned to curb the political aspirations of people of Jammu and Kashmir. It will be in India’s own interest to understand the historic reality and talk to Kashmiris and Pakistan for the resolution of dispute. The issue needs to be seen more as a humanitarian problem rather than a land dispute between two countries. Even if Kashmiris want to compromise with the status co but it will be impossible for them to accept that they have succumbed before the mighty India and their conscience is time and again warning them not to forget their huge sacrifices, at least to safeguard the future of their coming generations.”
