VHP appeals President to use his powers to safeguard the demoralization of Indian Forces

Jammu, September 02, (Scoop News)- State VHP Patron Dr. Ramakant Dubey today appealed the President of India, being Supreme Commander of Indian Forces to use his powers to safeguard the demoralisation of Indian Forces deployed especially in Jammu & Kashmir who are day in & day out being exploited in so many ways.
Speaking before the media,he said that the latest example in the state is to ask the army for vacating its “Firing Range” areas like Toshmadaan in Badgam, Kaleth Nagar & Nandni in Jammu, Khumbathang in Kargil, Portagal etc. under the pressure of separatists/antinational elements. State Government has perhaps forgotten that it is because of army & other security forces deployed in Jammu & Kashmir against all ordeals/hostile climate that they enjoy sound sleeps & all other luxuries of life. It is learnt that there are 66 such “Firing Range” in the country amongst which 6 at present are in J&K.

While keeping in view the geographical & political conditions of the state much more “Firing Ranges” are required to be established.

It is pertinent to mention here that lakhs of kanals of state land has already been illegally encroached upon by the so called “Mafia” at the instance of politicians/administrators. The Government instead of getting such huge chunks of land vacated from these encroachers is spending millions & millions of rupees on litigations but without any result. It is pitiable that both Prime Minister/Defence Minister visited the state very recently but didn’t take any notice of such serious problems. You being the Supreme Commander of Defence Forces using his high office/authority, direct the concerned authorities to desist from such well thought of plans of J&K Government to weaken the defence thereby demoralisation of forces. It is also stated here that “Firing Ranges” are developed by spending millions & millions of state resources & such locations are a necessary component of smooth administration.
Dr. Sham Lal Gupta General Secretary, Sukh Ram Sharma,. B.K. Gupta were also present in the press conference.
