| Geelani, Mirwaiz condole death of Balraj Puri | |
Srinagar, September 1,(Scoop News)-Expressing profound grief and regret over the demise of noted journalist, author and prominent human rights activist, Balraj Puri,APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has paid rich tributes to the deceased for his contributions in various sectors of public
life.
Conveying his condolence to his son Luv Puri, Mirwaiz said that Balraj Puri a
noted voice of Jammu was a close friend of Mirwaiz family, adding, whenever he would visit Kashmir he would meet Mirwaiz Mohamamd Farooq and exchange their views on various subjects.
APHC leader said that after the assassination of Mirwaiz Mohammad Farooq
and founding of Hurriyat Conference, Mr. Puri would visit Kashmir and meet him and give valuable suggestions.
Meanwhile, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, leader of Huuriyat (G) faction, said that PUri was close to him.
"I found him a good and humbe person. He was also having deep political insight with regard to Kashmir issue and his stand on the human rights issue was appreciative", Geelani said in a press statement
