| Mirwaiz offers special prayers for Sheikh Ali Mohammed | | a close family associate |
Srinagar, August 19,(Scoop News)_ The founding member of Awami Action Committee, noted member of Anjuman-e-Auqaf Jamia Masjid Srinagar, and a close associate of Mirwaiz family, Shiekh Ali Mohammad of Hawal, passed away on Tuesday following a brief illness.
In his condolence message, APHC leader and head of AAC, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, expressed greif and regret over the sad demise of Sheikh.
Paying tributes to the deceased for his contributions towards organization, Anujan-e-Auqaf and number of social activities, Mirwaiz said that he played a vital role in holy relic movement of 60’s, was close to Mirwaiz Mohamamd Farooq, played an important role while laying the foundation of AAC, was instrumental in creating Jamia Masjid Market under the banner of Anjuma—e-Auqaf, and was an extremely honest soul.
He further stated that the demise of Sheikh has created a vacum in AAC.
Expressing sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved Sheikh family, Mirwaiz offered
special prayers for the deceased and asked family to be patient in these testing times.
Meanwhile, Mirwaiz personally led the funeral prayers of Sheikh at hawal during which thousands of people participated.
According to party spokesman, the Fath-e-Khwani of Sheikh would be held on August 22,(Friday)at 2:30 pm sharp at his ancestral grave yard.
