Retired IGP Bijral,others join BJP

Jammu, July 27 (Scoop News)- In a simple programme held at party headquarters on Sunday,senior ploice officer, retired IGP S. Satinder Singh Bijral, VHP District President , Udhampur, Subash Gupta and leading industrialist Jugal Kishore. alongwith hundreds of their supporters joined BJP. They were welcomed and garlanded by MP & State President Jugal kishore Sharma, MP & State Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna, State General Secretaries Ashok Koul and Bali Bhagat, senior leader Farooq Khan and others.
Jugal Kishore Sharma and Avinash Rai Khanna also felicitated a well known Kashmiri Pandit leader Moti Koul, who had joined BJP at New Delhi four days ago.
Jugal kishore Sharma, on this occasion, said that the people across the country are voluntarily embracing BJP and J&K too has not remained untouched by this change in the mindset of people. He said this change is the result of “Narendra Modi wave”, which has invited the attention of masses and convinced them to come and join BJP. He said that during the past few months a large number of people in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh have joined BJP and the number is going up with each passing day. He expressed hope that the new entrants will work whole heartedly to further strengthen the party with their long public standings.
Avinash Rai Khanna, in his welcome address,said that after achieving Mission 272+ target and forming the government at the centre, the party has now set Mission 44+ with a motive to form first BJP government in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that there is enthusiasm not among the party activists but a common man too is enthusiastic as a ray of hope is seen in BJP. He said that UPA-1 and UPA-2 had only promoted dynasty rule ,corruption, misgovernance and price-rise. The people wanted to get rid off such a government and they found an alternative when BJP announced Narendra Modi as its Prime Ministerial candidate. From the day one, a pro-Modi started gaining popularity which culminated into landslide victory of BJP in 2014 Lok Sabha elections. He said the trend will also be displayed in J&K late this year when assembly elections are held.
BJP leaders Kuldeep Raj Gupta, Col. Uttam Singh, Vibodh Gupta, Som Raj Khajuria, Chander Mohan Gupta, Pramodh Kapahi, Balbir Ram Rattan, Ravinder Raina, Pt. Ashok Kumar, Naresh Dogra, Sat Pal Choudhary, Sheela Handoo, Baldev Singh, Vinay Gupta, Jaideep Sharma, Ashish Sareen, MLAs-Sukhnandan Kumar, Bharat Bhushan,Master Lal Chand and others were present on the occasion.
