| Sahu reviews Eid-ul-Fitr arrangements | | ‘Asks for provide all basic facilities at Eidgahs’ | Jammu,July 25, (Scoop News)- District Development Commissioner Jammu A.K Sahu today convened a meeting of officers to review and finalize the arrangements for forthcoming festival of Eid–ul-Fitr.
DDC directed the health officer JMC to ensure the cleanliness outside all mosques located within the municipal limit of Jammu besides also ensuring the availability of mobile toilet van outside the Eidgah ground on the occasion of Eid.
Concerned officers of PHE department were directed to make all the necessary arrangements for providing drinking water in sufficient quantity at Eidgah on the day of Eid – ul - Fitr.
Besides Executive Engineer Power Development Department was also directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply during Eid –ul -Fitr prayers particularly during the shab-I-qadr so that prayers in the mosques are performed without any disturbance.
Fire and emergency services officers were asked to keep fire tenders ready at vulnerable places to face any eventuality.
Health officer JMC and officers from CAPD, Legal Metrology and police department were directed by DDC to conduct market checking especially during these days to ensure that there is no overcharging of rates and Consumers get quality food products especially meat and poultry.
However various other issues like security arrangements, barricading, traffic arrangements, etc were also discussed in the meeting and on-the-spot directions were given to the concerned officers to ensure that the arrangements are made well in time.
SSP Security Jammu Ramesh Angral, ACG Jammu Shenaz Akhtar, Administrator Auqaf Jammu Raj Mohammad besides others senior officers were also present in the meeting.
