| Zaffar awarded Gold Medal for meritorious service | | Info Employees congratulate, praise his services |  Srinagar, July 25, (Scoop News)-The officers and officials of Information Department have congratulated Zaffar Ahmad Bhat, Excise Commissioner for receiving the Chief Minister’s Gold Medal for his outstanding and meritorious public service. The award was conferred on him in recognition of his honesty, integrity and meritorious services rendered by him as a public servant while working in various capacities in the State administration.
Recalling the tenure of Mr Zaffar Ahmad as Director Information, the officers and officials of the department described it as golden period in the history of the Department. During his tenure as Special Secretary (Information) and Director Information, Zaffar not only streamlined overall functioning of the department but resolved complicated and long pending issues related to seniority, promotion and cadre management in both the subordinate as well as Gazetted Services.
All the officers and officials have rejoiced over conferring Chief Minister’s Gold Medal on Zaffar Ahmad in recognizing his outstanding contribution in the field of public service.
