| Div Com finalizes arrangements for Jumat-ul-Vida | | Shab-i-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr in the Valley | Srinagar, July 22, (Scoop News)-Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Rohit Kansal today convened a meeting of divisional level officers to finalize the arrangements for the auspicious festivals of Jumat-ul-Vida, Shab-i-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr in the Valley here today.
Kansal enjoined upon the officers to facilitate the people with the basic amenities and ensure availability of essentials including rice, atta, sugar, k-oil and LPG cylinders in the Valley. He directed the officers of Power Development Department and PHE for ensuring uninterrupted electricity and water supply besides asked the Municipal authorities to maintain cleanliness in and around the Mosques and Shrines including Dargah Hazratbal, Jamia Masjids and Eidgahs.
He also directed for installation of street lights and the repairs of non functional street lights in the Srinagar City.
The Health authorities were asked to set up medical aid centres for medicare facilities at Dargah Hazratbal, Jamia Masjid and major Eidgahs, besides ensuring availability of ambulances.
For smooth transport system, the Traffic authorities were directed to provide transport facilities to the people till late hours in the evening.
The meeting was informed that adequate stocks of essential commodities including rice, atta, sugar, k-oil and LPG cylinders are available in the Valley.
Div Com stressed for intensifying market checking in view of the auspicious days to curb black marketing, profiteering and hoarding to make quality items available to the consumers.
