| Gurezi takes stock of essential commodities in Jammu | | Jammu , July 22, (Scoop News)- In view of Shab-e-Qadr, Jumat-ul-Vida and Eid-ul-Fitr, Minister of State for Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Nazir Ahmed Gurezi today visited various areas included Gujran Tulail, Budooaab, Tarabal, Kanzalwon, Baghtore and Nayal Gurez and took stock of the essential commodities available at Ration depots of CA&PD.
He was accompanied by the officers of CA&PD, Revenue, PDD, PHE, Agriculture, Horticulture, Social Welfare and Health during his tour.
Earlier, the Minister convened a meeting with the prominent citizens of Nayal Gurez and asked them to highlight their problems before the sub-divisional administration. He also asked them that the Government has launched several welfare schemes but need of the hour is to obtained maximum benefits from them. He asked administration to give wide publicity to the policies and programmes of the government so that the benefits of welfare schemes percolate down at grass root level.
Several deputations met the Minister during his tour and put forth their individuals and collective problems. These included construction of protection bunds, lanes, drains and repairs and renovation of link roads.
Interacting with the people at different places, the Minister said that developmental works started by the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah are witnessed by one and all. He said that some political parties are frustrated due to landmark achievements registered by the Omar led Government.
Referring to the developmental works under execution in Gurez constituency, Gurezi said that the construction work on various developmental projects is apace and on completion of these schemes it will not only improve the socio-economic condition of the people of these areas but also create an opportunity of jobs for educated youth.
