DDC reviews RBSK’s implementation in Kupwara
Kupwara,April 18, (Scoop News)-The District Development Commissioner, Kupwara, Itrat Hussain Rafique today convened a meeting of Health, Social Welfare and Education departments to review the implementation of Rashtriya Bal Swasthy Karyakram (RBSK) in the Kupwara district.
The Additional District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Chief Medical Officer Kupwara, Chief Education Officer Kupwara, Programme Officer ICDS, Principals of Higher Secondary Schools, Block Medical Officers, Zonal Education Officers, Child Development Project Officers and officers of district administration attended the meeting.
The Chief Medical Officer Kupwara briefed the meeting through a PowerPoint presentation about the implementation of RBSK in the district.
He informed the meeting about Child Health Services and early intervention services available for children under RBSK. He said that 2.5 lakh children from schools and Anganwadi Centres are being covered under the programme. As many as 20 vehicles besides four male and female Mobile Health teams with all logical support have been deployed for providing necessary services under the scheme.
It was given out that 189 schools and Anganwadi Centres have been visited by the MHTs, 15543 children upto 18 years of age were given treatment, 3162 children were provided necessary dozes while 783 children were treated at PHCs and CHCs level. He informed that 20,000 deliveries were conducted in the district and Rs. 5 crores were provided @ Rs. 1400 per delivery, the meeting was informed.
