Seminar on effects of tobacco, smoking organised
Baramulla March 25, (Scoop News)- One day seminar on effects of tobacco and smoking was organised by Education department in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Voluntary Health Association, Kashmir here today.
Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, was the chief guest on the occasion while DIG North Kashmir was the guest of honour.
Students from different institutions and locals also participated in the programme.
Addressing the seminar, Deputy Commissioner said that the drug addiction has emerged as one of the most serious problems with vast and varied implication on humanity. He said that drug users population is increasing day by day and it is need of hour to spread awareness regarding the bad consequences of tobacco chewing and cigarette smoking.
The participants threw light on heart and blood vessel disease, reproductive problems, bronchial problems, asthma, eye and pulmonary diseases result of tobacco and cigarette smoking.
Deputy Commissioner Baramulla said that everybody should cooperate in the implementation of cigarette smoking.
Later, Deputy Commissioner distributed certificates of participation among the participants....
