Accounts fraternity organizes farewell | Rather lauds services of Former DG Accounts &Treasury | Jammu, June 2 (Scoop News) –Describing Ravi Mangotra, Former Director General, Accounts and Treasury, as a symbol of honesty and dedication, Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Abdul Raheem Rather, today lauded his 35 years contribution in the Finance Department. Speaking at an impressive farewell party organized by Finance Department at Jammu, in honour of Mangotra, the Minister said accounts fraternity has an important role in cash management and fiscal reforms. He expressed hope that this vital part of the government machinery will continue to play its role in making the sector more vibrant and result oriented. Rather acknowledged Mangotra’s contribution towards the accounts services and said that he will be a great source of inspiration for others to follow. He highlighted the selfless services rendered by the officer in the department. He said that Mangotra played a pivotal role in computerization of Government treasuries which has brought discernable improvement in the working atmosphere and delivery system in the department. He also lauded Ravi Mangotra for receiving Chief Minister Gold Medal for honesty. Among others the function was attended by Director General Accounts and Treasuries, Majid Jhangir, Deputy Accountant General, A. K. Jain, Director Accounts and Treasuries, M. A. Malik, Treasuries Officers, Chief Accounts Officers and other senior officers of the department. ... |
