| Rs.110.80 cr distt. plan proposed for 2013-14 for distt. Anantnag | | Plan discussed before finalization at a high level meeting |  Anantnag/Srinagar, May 25 (Scoop News) –Rs.110.80 cr plan outlay has been proposed for district Anantnag for the current financial year 2013-14. This was revealed at a high level meeting held here today while discussing the proposed said plan.
The meeting was attended by the Minister for Haj and Auqaf Peerzada Mohd Syed, MlAs and MlCs of the district, District Development Commissioner, Anantnag and other senior and sectoral officers.
It was revealed that 97% expenditure has been made during the previous financial year, while the current year’s plan ‘to be of the order of Rs. 35.43 cr as revenue components and Rs. 73.37 cr capital component. It was further told in the meeting that Rs.15.15 cr are proposed for R&B department which would cater to WBM [all gradez] to 87.55kms, BT macadam to 22.18 kms and pacca/kachha drains of about 26365 running mts. It was informed that Rs. 34.50 Lakhs have been proposed for PDD. Rs 6.83 Cr for PHE sector which shall target five schemes covering 14 habitations and benefiting 9579 souls during the current fiscal.
The meeting was told that for Education sector Rs. 21 Cr have been proposed under elementary, secondary and adult education, out of which 10.57 Cr and 5.71 Cr have been earmarked for SSA and RMSA respectively. Under SSA, 61 toilets for CWSN shall be constructed while Pre Matric scholarship is targeted to be provided to 5900 students, MDM to 94000 students and Gujjar and Bakerwal Scholarship to 23000 students.
It was also revealed that an amount of Rs, 5.02 Cr has been proposed for Health Sector, to construction four new PHCs whereas work on three PHCs of Hapatnar, Salia and Sadiwara shall be completed during the current financial year. Rs 14.77 Cr are proposed for Irrigation Sector under which two schemes will irrigate 237 hectares of land under crop command area scheme.
The District plan share proposed for IAY has been put at Rs. 3.36 crore under which 6225 hamlets are proposed to be targeted. Under MGNREGA Rs. 4.41 crore have been proposed under district plan which shall be utilized for completion of 10290 works generating 345000 man-days.
While discussing the plan in threadbare, the concerned Public Representatives put forth their suggestions to be incorporated in the plan before it is finalized.
Meanwhile, District Development Commissioner, Anantnag asked all the sectoral officers to incorporate the suggestion of the Public Representatives for better results on the ground.
Besides others, SSP Anantnag, CEO PDA and ACR Anantnag were also present in the meeting.
