| HPCC Jammu and SCC Ghat register wins in Gufran Tourney | | Doda/Jammu, May 25 (Scoop News) – HPCC Jammu and Shahid Cricket Club (SCC) Ghat trounce Islamic Cricket Club Banihal (ICCB) and Kerala Cricket Club (KCC) of Group (B) in the ongoing All India 9th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship 2013 on Saturday being played at Sports Stadium Doda which was organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda.
The first match was played between Islamia Cricket Club Banihal & HPCC Jammu. Batting first after winning the toss, ICC Banihal scored a total of 217 runs by loosing their seven wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Zahid Mir was the highest scorer who scored 38 runs while Jaleel and Irfan contributed 34 and 32 runs for their team. From HPCC Jammu, Sajjad and Farooq took 03 and 01 wickets respectively.
In reply, HPCC Jammu managed to chase down the target in 16.5 overs for the loss of five wickets. Farooq was the highest scorer who scored unbeaten 64 runs while Ikhlaq contributed 56 runs for the team. From ICC Banihal, Jaleel and Irfan took 02 and 01 wickets respectively.
Later on Farooq of HPCC Jammu was declared as Man of the Match for his best all round performance.
Whereas, the second match was played between Shahid Cricket Club Ghat and Kerela Cricket Club. Batting first after winning the toss, KCC scored a low total of 78 runs by loosing their five wickets in 20 overs. Raj Yadav was the highest scorer who scored 17 runs while Sumit contributed 15 runs for his team. From SCC Ghat , Waseem and Shaboo took 02 and 01 wickets respectively
In reply, SCC Ghat chase down the target of 79 runs in 4.5 overs by loosing their onw wicket. Shaboo was the highest scorer who scored 53 runs followed by Tahir who contributed 19 runs for his team. From KCC, Sumit take 01 wicket.
Later on Shaboo of SCC Ghat was declared as Man of the Match for his best all round performance.
The match was officiated by Ranji Trophy Umpires Dharmesh Bhardwaj and Sanjay Singh while Rinku Badoria acted as official Scorer. ... |
