Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has announced willingness for third phase economic reforms after 1991. The urgency for third phase economic reforms has arisen after impressive failures of UPA-2 government at all levels for obvious reasons to revert the economy’s graph, improve GDP growth rate, reduce fiscal deficit etc. The new economic policy of 1991 designed and promulgated by Narsimha Rao government when the country was under acute economic crises and so under the dictates of IMF and World bank had to adopt the economic reforms. First about five years did not yield results but later on the country’s wheels started moving forward. The impact of first phase reforms were visible and public became optimistic. The second level reforms were delayed as the country had unstable economy due to unstable governments at the centre. First timer in the arena, BJP gave a stable government for full term and thereafter entered UPA-1 with coalition era intending all the flocks to fly together. But the inner conflicts of coalition system became imminent proving that “only all the corrupt flocks can fly together” and therefore, the UPA-2 , since 2009 has been flying tied with corrupt rope together. This is obvious that despite reduced to minority the alliance partners are unable to part away from the corrupt partnership. The MM duo lack guts to pull down the government and face music by the CBI. Sensing when that the public has understood the chemistry of two power centres and Manmohan Singh’s mystic smile (more complex than Monaliza’s) rests on Sonia’s whims, the last weapon of third phase reforms will prove not only effective but also improve and economist PM’s personal image. So, popularly known puppet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has put the bait of third level reforms before the business community of the country.
An attempt is also been made to divert the attention of entire public from incompetence of present government to the non-issue of candidature of a Prime Minister and so the debate over Modi Vs Rahul has caught the attention of the public which always requires a colourful entertainment over the audio visual Channels. As challenge to Modi’s growing popularity, the opponents have started exploring Rahul Gandhi’s wisdom clearly comparing two non-comparables. But the “beauty lies in the eyes of beholder”, aptly applies on India inc people giving standing ovation to Rahul who looked more as a teacher in psychology delivering first lecture as Vice-president of 128 years old Congress party to hi-fi elite business community of India. Still nine months to show competitiveness, Rahul Gandhi clad in informals, had preparedness to befool anybody present in lecturer room that he can cleverly divert mental channels flooded with queries on inflation, consistent price-rise, deep rooted corruption, a party ridden with scams and scams, unemployment at galore, failed economic system etc. to non-issues like energies flowing from holy waters of Ganga, Yamuna as well youth of India migrating with positive attitude etc. etc. Shockingly, he said reversal of what India did till 1991 i.e. before Rahul Gandhi took admission in US in 1991 and found that “nobody knew India”. The hon’ble lecturer Rahul Gandhi should have known that Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru his great grandfather and first Prime Minister of India had written “discovery of India” long back in 40s and also that first four decades of India’s independence were witness to “brain drain” i.e. most hi-tech brain of India had drained to US to build a stronger capitalistic structure of the most economically powerful country such as US. But Rahul Gandhi informs to India Inc that when he took admission in US University, he found that “nobody knew India” giving an impression that India was known as a country of elephants on roads. Surprisingly, he is being projected as future king of Hindustan of 1.2 billion people.
Rahul Gandhi attempted to capture audience with emotive psychological genetics to change the country forgetting that people had done it during 2011 and 2012 on the two big issues of corruption and crime against women respectively. Rahul overtly and covertly side tracked the issues nor did give any road map to transfer the fate of the country required for a probable candidate for PM. While Modi presented way out drastically required for the country.
By showing reluctance to project himself as PM candidate Rahul is only following footsteps of his mother who after rounds of “Roothna-Manana” episode became sole solicitor of country’s power which nobody had courage to oppose almost 15 years back.
Rahul Gandhi ought to study more to undo what the country even prior to new economic policy had been achieved despite the fact that its original structure constituting vivid socio cultural fundamentals will remain ever unchanged. Why should be change it? Indian will remain a country of snake charmers, its elephants will keep on roaming on the roads as its beauty lies their only, puppets will keep on charming the villagers as well as the country men by the puppet machinery, folk dancers will remain centre of attraction, notunkies will remain powerful medium for conveying the depth of the issues besides its bi-lanes, lanes and roads flooded with movement of desi and pardesi small and big cause, boutiques, big shopping malls, hi-tech centres etc. It is a colourful country but having a very big heart to accommodate non-entities as the Centre of power which has spoiled the entire fabric of the country by protecting and flaring corruption, concentration of economic power to few converting the entire country back to feudal system by crushing checkmates with bluffs.
