| Avalanche warning in snow bound areas in Kashmir | |
Srinagar, February 28 (Scoop News) - According to Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, medium danger avalanche warning exists in snowbound areas of Bandipora, Gurez Sector, Keran sector, Naugaon Kayian Sector, Chowkibal-Tangdhar Sector, Machil Sector, Sonamarg, Drass ad Kargil sector from February 28 to March 01, 2013.
In view of this people in snow bound areas are advised to avoid movement during snowfall and not to venture into steep avalanche prone slopes during the said period besides are advised to keep clearing regularly the snow from roof tops of their houses to avoid any causality due to house collapse.
During the period general public are requested to take appropriate precautionary measures as advised and in the event of any eventuality and for further information contact concerned Deputy Commissioners on their contact numbers already published.
