Traffic to ply from Jammu to Srinagar tomorrow
1dies, 02 injured in road mishaps
Srinagar, January 12 (Scoop News) – Today Inspector General of Police, Traffic in his communiqué stated that on 13.01.2013 subject to fair weather conditions and good condition of road all kinds of vehicles including private LMV’s, commercial LMV’s, LCV’s, Medium passenger as well as commercial vehicles, buses, heavy commercial vehicles would be allowed to travel from Jammu side towards Kashmir in a regulated manner.
However, all vehicles are required to cross TCP Nagrota by 1300 hours, Udhampur by 1430 hours and TCP Banihal by 2200 hours beyond which no vehicle shall be allowed to proceed towards Kashmir for onward journey.


01dies, 02 injured in road mishaps

One person died and two other were injured in different road accident across the Kashmir valley.
Imtiyaz Ahmed Mir son of Mohammad Shafi Mir resident of Dardkote received serious injuries when a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK05C/8132 while on way from Uri to Dardkote turned turtle at Kagli Mod, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Uri, The injured Imtiyaz was shifted to Sub District Hospital Uri where he succumbed to his injuries. The body of deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites. Police has registered a case in this regard.
Meanwhile, a Santro car bearing registration number HK04/9002 hit and injured 70 years old Hajra Begum wife of Ghulam Rasool Rather resident of Chottipora Hygam on National Highway near Bulgam crossing, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Tarzoo. The injured has been shifted to hospital for treatment. Tarzoo Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, a Scorpio bearing registration number JK03B/4172 hit and injured 13 years old Shafqat Ahmed Chara son of Irshad Ahmad resident of Rakhibrah at Rakhibrah, in the jurisdiction of Police Mattan, Anantnag. The injured boy was shifted to hospital for treatment. Mattan Police has registered acase in this regard.


Cannabis seized in Budgam, three arrested

Police seized 4kgs of dry cannabis leaves and arrested three persons with cannabis powder in Chadoora area of Budgam district this morning.
SDPO Charari sharief, Dr. Shailendra Mishra (IPS), giving details about the case, On specific information a Police Party of Police Station Chadoora headed by Inspector Manzoor Ahmad SHO Police Station Chadoora Conducted a raid at village Hussippora Chadoora on the house of Mohammad Lateef Malla son of Abdul Salaam resident Hussipora and Seized 4kgs of dry cannabis leaves and 30 gms of cannabis powder from the custody of Younis Ahmad Yattoo son of Ghulam Mohammad, Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar son of Mohammad Shafi, Fazil Ahmad Raina son of Mohammad Sharief resident Hussipora who were arrested on spot where as main accused the house owner Mohammad Lateef Malla escaped from the place of occurrence.
Police station Chadoora has registered a case FIR No 04/2013 under section 20 NDPS Act and investigation is on.
The locals have hailed the Police Action as they had raised the issue of drug menace in the public meeting chaired by Dr. Shailendra Mishra(IPS) SDPO Charari Sharief.
