137 Bn CRPF celebrates I-Day

UDHAMPUR/Jammu, August 15 (Scoop News) –The 137 Bn of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) celebrated 66th Independence Day with patriotism and gaiety at SRTC ground Omara Morh, Udhampur here this morning.
Commandant 137 Bn CRPF, J. Majumdar unfurled the tricolor and took salute from the CRPF guards.
While speaking on the occasion, J. Majumdar recalled the front leaders of freedom struggle who sacrificed their lives for independence of India from the foreign rulers. He advised the CRPF Jawans that it is prime duty of a Jawan to protect the country from any insurgency and always ready to face the internal challenges for the unity in diversity of the country.
Later, 500 saplings were planted by the officers and CRPF Jawans in the peripheral of Udhampur district where the CRPF is camping including Jakhani, Tomator morh, Kud and Chenani etc. Besides, sweets were also distributed among the officers and Jawans of the Bn on the auspicious day.
