Police organises debate competition on drug abuse on the theme “Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan”
Srinagar, December 02 (Scoop News)-As part of its ongoing efforts to promote awareness against drug abuse and strengthen community-police engagement, Police in Ganderbal organised a debate competition under the civic action programme at Government Higher Secondary School Ganderbal. The event centred around the theme “Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan”, aiming to encourage students to speak against the Menace of Drugs and contribute towards building a healthy, drug-free society.

The programme was graced by DySP Headquarters Ganderbal Dr. Urfaan–JKPS and DySP DAR Shri Altaf Khan-JKPS, who interacted with the students and delivered insightful briefings on the importance of collective responsibility in eliminating drug abuse from society. They highlighted the pivotal role of youth in carrying forward the mission of Nasha Mukht Bharat and urged students to stay away from drugs and channelize their energy towards academics and nation-building.

A large number of students, faculty members, and staff of the institution participated and exchanged thought-provoking ideas during the debate. The students were thoroughly encouraged by senior Police officers for showcasing their talent and contribution to the cause.

J&K Police remains committed to organising such awareness programmes to strengthen the fight against drug abuse and to ensure a safer and healthier future for the youth.
