| GCOE Jammu celebrates National Education Day | |
Jammu, November 11 (Scoop News)-Government College of Education (GCOE) Jammu today celebrated National Education Day by organizing a Slogan Writing Competition. The event was held to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, India’s first Education Minister and to honour his immense contribution to the promotion of modern education system in India. As many as 11 students participated actively in the competition, showcasing their creativity and awareness about the importance of education in nation-building. The participants expressed their ideas through impactful and thought-provoking slogans on the theme “Education: The Pathway to Progress”.
The event was organized by the Department of Education under the patronage of Principal of the institution Dr. Jyoti Parihar, who emphasized the significance of education as a tool for social transformation as well as national development.
The event was judged by Prof. Sunanda Rani, HOD Science and Prof. Anuradha Choudhary HOD History. Arti Chadgal of B.Ed Sem. 1 got 1st prize while Mansi Rajput and Neha Sharma of B.Ed Sem. III bagged 2nd and 3rd prize, respectively.
The participants were felicitated with certificates of appreciation. The event was coordinated by Prof. Roopa Kumari, Prof. Kiran Thapa and Dr. Shallu Jasrotia under the guidance of Dr. Rajinder Kour HOD Education.
