Weekly Block Diwas: DDC Rajouri listens to people's issues at Jamola Lower
Rajouri, February 01 (Scoop News)- To redress the people’s grievances at their doorsteps, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a public grievances redressal camp at Lower Jamola as part of Weekly Block Diwas.

The public and their representatives raised a number of issues and demands, including macadamization of roads, shortage of electricity poles, the inclusion of eligible beneficiaries under PMAY-G, paucity of staff at PHC Jamola Lower, scarcity of water etc.

Officers of different departments also educated the public about the government schemes and programs being implemented in the district and motivated them to avail the benefits of the same. They also replied to the queries raised by the public during the event.

The Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the issues and demands projected and directed the officers to take immediate corrective measures to resolve the public issues.

Highlighting various government initiatives, he called for synergized efforts to achieve hundred percent saturation of government schemes and effective delivery of services.

He also asked the officers to educate the people about different welfare programs and schemes that are being implemented in the district and make sure that the last beneficiary in the queue receives the benefits.

The Deputy Commissioner also asked the officers to maintain close coordination with PRI members so that public issues are addressed immediately to alleviate their sufferings.

He urged the unemployed Youth of the area to avail the benefits of Self-employment schemes of Mission Youth, KVIB, and District Industries center. He assured to recommend a sheep center for Jamol and directed the concerned officer to initiate the paperwork for the same.

For the security and safety of the students of the High School Jamola, the DC assured to keep the provision of construction of boundary wall of the school.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner also inaugurated a 25 KVA transformer and inspected the Smart classroom at HSS Lower Jamola.
