Jammu, November 29 (Scoop News)-The govt has hoodwink the people of Jammu and Kashmir Gurmeet singh President Beopar mandal & District General Secretary Congress on Tuesday demanded the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir statehood and early holding of assembly poll. The Centre Govt. has demoted the state into UT and all the officers who have also been demoted due to this UT and even the state has given Lt Governor instead of Governor who was already holding the charge of the J&K State. This has been done only to get vote bank of the J&K State. It is also learnt that State Govt. is imposing property tax which was never imposed earlier in this state. This is again a big burden on the general public of the State which requires immediate reconsideration. Gurmeet Singh accused the Sh. Narinder Modi govt. of handling matters related to Jammu and Kashmir in an autocratic manner. While releasing the statement he also targeted the central govt. over the issues of price rise and unemployment. Before coming to power, Modi made huge promises to hoodwink people but he couldn't fulfill even one of them, Gurmeet Singh charged. In Jammu and Kashmir the administration has collectively punished candidate who has qualified for various jobs over corruption and mal- practices on its part, he allege The Modi Govt. has resolved to render every deserving candidate jobless PM Modi has resolved to take from the poor and give it to his rich friends and that's exactly what he has been doing for the past eight years, Gurmeet Singh alleged Jammu and Kashmir has a huge capacity for power production. Despite har nessing thousands of megawatts of power, Jammu and kashmir is being kept in dark. The people of Jammu and Kashmir Rightfully deserve a part of that power which is produced here, he said. Gurmeet singh Said That We believe that creation of Union territory is a direct attack on democracy and the constitutional principles. He also sad elections to the Assembly should be held so that people can elect their representatives instead of being ruled by Delhi. He also demanded that prior to holding elections Statehood should be restored.
Gurmeet Singh Addressing largely attended Congress protesters at Jammu, against price rise, rising unemployment today lashed out at Centre Govt. for the unprecedented price hike and record unemployment besides failing to address the grievances of larger weaker sections of people of J&K on every count after promising massive development post August 5, 2019. He said that developmental process started by UPA in J&K received a major setback, as the NDA Govt. failed to carry forward the massive developments started by UPA.
Gurmeet Singh District General Secretary Congress said that People are feeling harassed by tax terror and unprecedented price hike, at the same time, they realize that BJP Govt. is looting them to recover the losses it has done to the Country economy by misrule and mismanagement of things since the day one as a result there is a restlessness across the country. Every section of the society including youth, students, employees are up in arms due to wrong policies of BJP and this is the reason Congress party under the leadership of Shri Rahul Gandhi has launched Nationwide Bharat jodo yatra against the wrong policies of the BJP led NDA Govt. at the Centre. He said that our dynamic leader Rahul Gandhi is fearlessly fighting for the cause of every Indian against the oppressive policies of the Modi Govt. and the entire Congress cadre is solidly behind the Congress leadership.
