Maa Kaalratri Symbolizes End To Darkness

Jammu, October 02 (Scoop News)-Today on 7th day of prabhat pheries in its 6th edition which is being jointly organized by J&K Association of Prabhat pheri in association with J&K Tourism dept., SMVD Shrine Board katra and District Administration Reasi a grand prabhat pheri was taken out depicting jhankies of Maa Kaalratri and Maa Kali,Maa Luxmi and Maa Sarswati.
Maa Kaalratri is one of the terrifying forms of Goddess Durga and is also referred to as Maa Kaali. The word Kaal usually refers to time or death and the word Ratri means night. Hence, she is also known as the Goddess who brings an end to darkness.
Earlier chief guest Sh.Gopal Dutt BMO katra and guest of honour Sh. Ashwini Katoch an eminent educationist in presence of Sh. Babu Ram Dubey former chairman of hotel and restaurant association of katra flagged off the prabhat pheri by cutting the red ribbon and breaking the green coconut.

Enroute the devotees from delhi,gurgoan,banaras and,patna also joined the prabhat pheri..Central bureau of communication officers Sh. Durga Dass and Smt Ritu Sharma along with their staff members participated in the prabhat pheri.

Prabhat Pheri started from Bus stand Katra passing through Ban Ganga Road reached at Darshani Deodi and then came back via main bazaar to Bus Stand Katra where it got culminated.
The locals as well as pilgrims danced to the tunes of bhajans and kirtan performed by Sh. Vijay & party Sh. Rajni Kant and party of rajasthan . School students thoroughly got involved in bhajans while participating in the parbhat pheri and they danced and echoed the Jaikaras of Maa Vaishnodevi all along the route.
CRPF personnel received the procession at yog ashram and served the parshad to the participants under the supervision of CRPF commandant of 6th battalion Sh. Yaad Ram Bunker
.
Raj Kumar Padha President, J&K Association of Prabhat Pheri informed that in the next two days grand prabhat pheries shall be taken out . He appealed the locals and the visiting devotees to come in large numbers to prabhat pheri and get the blessings of Maa Vaishnodevi.
The members present on the occasion were Ajay Sharma,Aman Mahajan,Manoj Sadhotra,Ajay Verma ,R S Manhas,Rattan Chand,Rajesh Gupta,Pawan Kumar,Murlidhar,Renueji Dhar,P N Kaul,Sanjay Tickoo,P C Rana and Rohit Kumar.
