CRPF Organizes a grand "Cycle-Rally" from Jammu to New Delhi

Jammu, September 26 (Scoop News)-"Cycle-Rally" was conducted from "Group Center CRPF, Jammu " on 23rd September, 2021 in the morning on the occasion of "75th Anniversary Celebration of Independence of India (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav)". After covering a distance of about 225 km via Samba, Kathua district of J&K and Pathankot, Dinanagar, Gurdaspur, Batala, Jallianwalabagh of Punjab state, reached Amritsar (Punjab) at 1730 in the evening. This “Cycle-Rally” is being organized under the able leadership of Shri Bhanu Pratap Singh, DIG, Group Centre, CRPF, Jammu.
Shri Mool Chand Panwar, Inspector General, North West Sector, CRPF, Chandigarh (Punjab) showed the "Flag" to the cycle rally at 0715 AM on 25/09/2021 at Jallianwalabagh, Amritsar (Punjab) to Memorial, Kartarpur (Punjab). During this, Shri Harjinder Singh, DIG, Group Center Jalandhar, Shri Dayanidhi Tanti, Commandant, Shri Rajesh Kumar Sharma 2.I/C, Shri Suresh Uraon, Deputy Commandant, Shri Rakesh Kumar, Deputy Commandant, Shri Yogesh, Assistant Commandant of 245 Bn, CRPF, Shri Ajay Sharma, Assistant Commandant Group Center Jammu, Shri Dhanraj, Assistant Commandant 160 Bn. CRPF (Administrative Commander, Cycle Rally) and subordinate officers and jawans were also present.
When the cycle rally reached "Loharika Chowk, Amritsar (Punjab)" at around 0745 hrs Sh. Bhanu Pratap Singh (Nodal Officer and Cyclist) and Mr. Varun Vaid, Assistant Commandant (Deputy Nodal Officer and Cyclist) and all other participants of the rally were welcomed with enthusiasm by garlanding. During this welcome program Sh. Mool Chand Panwar, Inspector General, North-West Sector CRPF, Chandigarh (Punjab), Sh. Harjinder Singh, DIG, Group Center CRPF, Jalandhar and Mr. Dayanidhi Tanti, Commandant and other officers and personnel of 245 Bn, CRPF were present. After taking rest for some time, all the participants of the cycle rally left for Beas (Punjab) at around 0918 hrs.
The cycle rally reached “Indra Place, Beas (Punjab)” at around 1255 hrs. all the participants of the cycle rally were welcomed with enthusiasm by garlanding Shri Gurdeep Singh, Head of Indra place. During this welcome program Sh. Mool Chand Panwar, Inspector General, North-West Sector CRPF, Chandigarh (Punjab), Sh. Harjinder Singh, DIG, Group Center CRPF, Jalandhar and Sh. Dayanidhi Tanti, Commandant and other officers and personnel of 245 Bn, CRPF were present. All the contestants of the cycle rally had lunch and after taking rest for some time, all the participants of the cycle rally left for "Jung-e-Azadi Memorial, Kartarpur, (Punjab)" at around 1332 hrs.
The cycle rally reached "Jung-e-Azadi Memorial, Kartarpur, (Punjab)" at around 1715 hrs. there, a grand welcome program was organized for the participants of the cycle rally by the Group Centre, CRPF, Jalandhar. During this welcome program, Sh. Mool Chand Panwar, Inspector General, North-West Sector CRPF, Chandigarh, led the cycle rally, Sh. Bhanu Pratap Singh (Nodal Officer and Cyclist) and Sh. Varun Vaid, Assistant Commandant (Deputy Nodal Officer and Cyclist) and other members of the rally. All the participants were welcomed with enthusiasm by garlanding. Also all participants were welcomed by Professor Lalit Kumar Awasthi, Director NIT Jalandhar, Dr. Sukdeep Singh Hundal, Asstt. Director, Horticulture, Jalandhar, Sh. Gurvinder Singh,Chairman, Alliance Club, Jalandhar, Sh Dees Raj General Manager, Capital Hospital, Jalandhar] Dr.Lyla, Medical Supdt. & Sister Grace, Administrator, Sacred Heart Hospital, Maqsuda, Jalandhar, ShriRajat Kumar, Manager, Jange-e-Azadi Memorial, Kartarpur, Smt. CharanjitSaini, Principal, K.V. School, Saraikhas. During this welcome program, Sh. Bhupinder Singh, DIG, Jammu-Kashmir Zone and Group Center CRPF, Jalandhar, Sh. Harjinder Singh, DIG, Sh. Jatinderpal Singh, Commandant and Sh. Manish Kumar Meena, Commandant 114 R.A.F. Bn and other officers, personnel and their family members were present.
After the welcome process, Shri Bhanu Pratap Singh (Nodal Officer and Cyclist), Shri Varun Vaid, Assistant Commandant (Deputy Nodal Officer and Cyclist) who was leading the cycle rally and all the participants saluted the great freedom fighters and paid homage to all the martyrs by offering Reeth/flowers at Martyr Memorial. During this, "Band-Prashan" by the band team of Group Center Jalandhar and "Cultural Program" with patriotic songs dedicated to the martyrs by the jawans were also organized.
On this occasion, Sh. Mool Chand Panwar, Inspector General, North-West Sector, CRPF, Chandigarh, Sh. Bhupinder Singh, DIG J&K Zone, Sh. Harjinder Singh, DIG, Group Center Jalandhar, Sh. Dayanidhi Tanti, Commandant 245 Bn., Sh. Manish Kumar. Meena, Commandant 114 R.A.F. Bn, Shri Harish Kumar Salhan, Assistant Commandant Group Center, CRPF Jammu and all the above officers also paid homage to the martyrs by paying homage to the great freedom fighters who liberated the country. Also on this occasion, Shri Mool Chand Panwar, Inspector General, North-West Sector, CRPF, Chandigarh, in his address said that on the elixir of independence, CRPF 04 cycle rallies are being organized by NGO from important places of the country- Kanyakumari, Sabarmati, Jorhat and from Jammu to Rajghat (New Delhi). This cycle rally was started from Jammu on 23/09/2021 District-Samba, Kathua Jammu and Kashmir and Pathankot, Dinanagar, Gurdaspur, Batala, Amritsar, Jallianwalabagh, Mallian, Tagra, Khilchia, Raiya, districts of Punjab State. After covering a distance of about 300 kms via Beas, Subhanpur, on 25/09/2021, "Jung-e-Azadi Memorial has reached Kartarpur and further to Ludhiana, "Shaheed Udyam Singh Memorial", Sirhind (Shri Fatehgarh Sahib), Ambala, Kurukshetra, Sonepat, will reach Rajghat (New Delhi) on the day of Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary on October 02, 2021, via Group Center Gurugram. He also said that the main objective of "Cycle-Rally" is to inculcate a sense of patriotism and security in the hearts of Indian citizens. This cycle rally will promote physical fitness as well as spread the spirit of unity in the country. Along with this, many congratulations to all the participants of the cycle rally for this glorious adventure journey.
Thereafter the cycle rally reached "Group Centre, CRPF, Jalandhar (Punjab)" at around 1855 hrs and all the participants of the cycle rally rested there for the night.
