Vikram Malhotra urges Lt. Governor to resolve woes of Dharmarth Trust employees
‘The trust authorities seem stubbornly impervious to the pleas of their employees’


Jammu, April 16 (Scoop News)- Apni Party General Secretary Vikram Malhotra on Friday expressed his deep anguish over the apathetic stance adapted by the Dharmarth Trust authorities towards the resolution of the genuine demands of their employees.



Issuing a statement here, Vikram Malhotra said that it’s high time for the Trust authorities to resonate with the legitimate pleas of their employees and shun stubbornness as it is only adding more sufferings to its dedicated workers.



“137 days of sit-in and still we hear no word of relief from the trust authorities. This shows the imperviousness and profound mulishness of a reputed trust that is supposed to serve the people altruistically. It’s highly regrettable that its workers have to hit the streets,” he remarked.



He said that the life-long committed staff of the Trust is merely demanding a pay-hike which is justified as the prices of essential commodities along with market inflation are always on an increase.



“Not accepting the demands of the Dharmarth Trust Employees Association (DTEA) naturally signifies that their services mean of no value to the trust authorities. They deserve justice and at least their salaries must be at par with their counterparts working in the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, which prior to 1986 was also a part of Dharmarth Trust,” he observed.



Vikram Malhotra stressed that the hegemonic and lackadaisical modus operandi of the Dharmarth Trust authorities is highly concerning. Their mediocre and negligent policies have resulted in the deplorable condition of various Temples and other properties of religious significance allied with it.



“The Trust needs immediate improvisation and that can only happen if it is brought under the ambience of Mata Vaishno Devi Trust. This merger will resolve the problems of its suffering employees besides the immediate attention that is required for the renovation and refurbishment of various Temples across J&K,” he demanded
