CRPF organized an inauguration ceremony of Shaheed Statue in Samba
Jammu, March 04 (Scoop News)-Martyr Soldier Ram Singh Salathia, who attained martyrdom while fighting on 27 September 2011 during the operation conducted by the 207 Cobra Battalion, Keripubal against the Maoists in the Aman village of Mahtand Dhanan area of Bokaro District of Jharkhand state, that the martyrdom was to be in future of ages.

On 04 March, 2021, the inauguration ceremony of Memorial Gate and Statute of Shaheed Ram Singh Salathia was organized with great prompt by Group Centre, CRPF, Bantalab, Jammu. Memorial Gate and Statue was inaugurated by the mother of Shaheed Mrs. Shreshta Devi and father Mr. Mohinder Singh. During the ceremony, Shri Rajendra Prasad, DIG, GC CRPF, Bantalab, Jammu honoured Shaheed Ram Singh Salathia’s mother Mrs. Shreshta Devi and father Mr. Mohinder Singh and presenting the shawls., Shri Prem Chandra Gupta, Commandant, Group Centre, CRPF Bantalab, Shri Lovekaran Singh, SDPO, Samba, Shri Varun Vaid, Assistant Commandant and other close relatives of the Shaheed Ram Singh Salathia were also present in the ceremony. Ceremony forum was moderated by Shri Ajay Sharma, Assistant Commandant, Group Centre CRPF, Bantalab.

During the inauguration ceremony of Memorial Gate and Statue of Shaheed Ram Singh Salathia, the Special Guard saluted the Shaheed with a mourning deal. All the officers and members present there paid homage to Shaheed Ram Singh Salathia by holding a 2 minute silence. Subsequently the mother and father of Shaheed jointly inaugurated the statue by garlanding the statue of Shaheed Ram Singh Salathia. After this, all the gazetted officers and jawans paid homage to Shaheed Ram Singh Salathia. During the inauguration program Shri Rajendra Prasad, DIG, GC CRPF, Bantalab, Jammu given detailed information about martyrdom of Shaheed Ram Singh Salathia while addressing.

Above programme was organized under the able leadership of Shri Rajendra Prasad, DIG, GC CRPF, Bantalab, Jammu, in which Shri P.C. Gupta, (Commandant), Shri Rajesh Kumar (Dy. Comdt), Shri Ajay Sharma (Asstt. Comdt.), Shri Varun Vaid (Asstt. Comdt) and other Gazetted Officers, Subordinate Officers and Jawans also lend their support.
