Dal Lake reverberates to the ‘shaurya’ musical talent hunt

Srinagar,January 19 (Scoop News)- As the ‘Chillai Kallan’ is probably at its peak with temperatures finding new lows, the precincts of SKICC at Dal Lake were drowned in the reverberations of melodious music. The final of Shaurya Musical Talent Hunt saw the talented youth performers from various places of Jammu & Kashmir churn out multiple melodious and soul touching renditions along with superstar singer Sukhwinder Singh.
Appealing to the musically oriented youth of the Valley, SKICC played host to the biggest musical concert of Kashmir. The event was supported by Indian Army and was graced by the honourable LG of UT of J&K, Shri Manoj Sinha. The show promoted was aimed at identification and honing of musical talent from Jammu and Kashmir.
Over 2000 talented youth of Jammu & Kashmir joined the online audition which was spread over seven days. This was followed up by offline audition for four days, two days each form Jammu and Srinagar; where top music experts from Bollywood worked hard to identify the ten best. Finally, ten talented youth comprising vocalists and instrumentalists were selected to form the J&K Band. The Band under expert guidance practiced together and they showcased their immense talent which mesmerized the audience. Post this performance, the Band members will now be travelling to Mumbai for training and undertaking contractual performances. The efforts of organisers, the Mausiqui studios was also lauded.

To encourage the young talent, the LG and the Northern Army Commander graced the finale on 18 January, where they felicitated all the ten winners of Shaurya Musical Talent Hunt and also gave a cash prize of 5 lakh rupees to motivate them. Following are the winners of Kashmi’s biggest talent hunt ‘Shaurya’:

The event concluded with the mesmerizing and rocking performance by Sukhwinder Singh and his team, who touched and elated the souls of all the attendees to another ‘Ecstatic Stratosphere’. His special composition – a prayer for Kashmir aptly titled ‘Dua’ was a special finale of the event.
